Who We ServeKEYS is committed to establishing relationships with other non-profit organizations providing homeless services in the Greater Washington DC region with a purpose of creating positive systemic change for our communties.

KEYS for the Homeless Foundation, Inc. received IRS 501c3 designation on October 15, 2005.

Today, the organization is governed by a volunteer board of directors composed of outstanding members of the Hotel Association of Washington, DC and corporate leaders representing local, civic and community institutions.  We are deeply grateful to the hospitality industry and other concerned businesses who continue to support this socially economical, naturally productive model for improving our communties  Our work is having a significant impact on improving the lives and futures of men, women, veterans and families who are transitioning from homeless and poverty towards self sufficiency

We are inspired by the vision and dedicated leadership of our beneficiary organizations who provide homeless services to the most vulnerable in our communities—daily. Our relationships with community leaders and service providers are KEY for securing brighter futures for us all. Our innovative drive delivers "just in time" resources, meeting the core basic needs necessary for securing stronger communities.

IN 2017, KEYS responded to more than 375 requests for our services and provided needed resources to more than 60 non-profit organizations provding homeless services. The estimated fair market value, per contribution/ request averaged more than $1,000.
