Our friends at S.O.M.E. (So Others Might Eat) shared our mission with George Washington University Campus Life and KEYS moved into action. Our first appointment was arranged so that KEYS could preview and photograph the donations of practical dorm bed/desk sets, office chairs, wardrobes, file cabinets, televisions and other items—and thus, our project was underway. Several weeks of scheduling resulted in a steady redistribution of furnishings to Community of Hope, Fr. McKenna Center, Hope & A Home, Christ House, Transitional Housing Corporation, Mt. Carmel House and other organizations served by Catholic Charities. Our thanks to Bobby Ballard of G.W. and to Moving Masters for their efficient coordination in making this contribution a huge success. The team of movers generously contributed their time and transportation services and we hope to continue working with G.W. as future donations become available!
