Throughout the year, the Green Team’s eco-innovation practices are helping to support the mission of KEYS.  Since 1998, the Fairmont has generously contributed in-kind donations of linen, bathrobes, bath amenities, towels, bath rugs, blankets, furniture, coffee pots and coffee to brew, furniture, drapes, and more. In the preparation of these contributions for pick up by KEYS, the positive morale and cheerful assistance by so many of the hotel staff is always recognized and appreciated.   In addition, The Green Team’s in-house fundraising projects focus on creative measures to protect and safeguard the environment:  a penny drive to recycle copper and save energy, bins and bins of discarded linen are set aside for KEYS as a part of our recycling initiative (sale of cotton produces steady amounts of revenue for KEYS budget), and most recently, a Colleague Earth Art Auction. It is a privilege and honor for KEYS to have the opportunity to work with Diana Bulger, Public Relations Manager, Hanca Bekanovic, Dir. of Housekeeping, and the dedicated members of the Green Team in this collaborative effort.
